Sally the snake was basically an accident. I was making something totally different (that I don’t want to reveal yet) that just didn’t work out, but in that failed experiment Sally was born! She is a cute little knit snake that lives in a pink polka dot and plaid box and loves to munch on yarn grass. I am hoping my relationship with Sally will help to end my fear of snakes and make me appreciate them a little bit more. Maybe that should be one of my New Year’s goals!
My brother and I were/still are obsessed with that movie, and we played it all the time growing up. Because of my dino nostalgia, I decided that I wanted to make his gift this year instead of buying one and thought a little amigurumi dinosaur would be perfect! I searched through a lot of patterns but had a hard time finding one I actually liked until I stumbled onto this pattern which ended up working perfectly.
I love all their stuff, but they are so expensive! A really cool thing I noticed while walking around the store was that a lot of the decorations had a homemade look or was even knitted or crocheted which is great because that means I can recreate things I see for a fraction of the price or even free.
If you are a fan of the show Parks and Recreation and appreciate a cute a crochet you have probably noticed the adorable granny square afghan on the back of Ann’s couch.
Through a little bit googling I found that I am not alone in loving this afghan but I couldn’t find a pattern. So, I made my own! I was however very excited to find the schematic for the blanket from Captain Hook’s Crochet Nook. Click here to check it out.
