Hello and welcome back to my blog, and if you’re new here welcome! If you’re a first timer, be sure to subscribe to my email list so that you can stay in the know all the latest patterns and tutorials!
Its just a couple days before Halloween so I wanted to be sure to make at least one festive blog post to stay in the moment. If you’ve been following the blog since the beginning you may remember these Candy Corn Knit Coasters from years back (if this describes you, I love you haha!). It’s a super simple pattern but I thought it would be fun to bring it back with some fresh photos and an all new video tutorial!
If you’ve made a few fall projects this season, you most likely have these classic colors on hand which is great, because this is an awesome stash buster.
Not only is this project a great stash buster, but each of these Candy Corn Knit Coasters whip up in just about an hour (or less time if you’re a fast knitter!), so you can expect to have a set whipped up in just an afternoon or over a couple evenings depending on your knitting schedule.
In conclusion, the Candy Corn Knit Coasters pattern is a super fun project and you should totally give it a try!

Thank you! Let me know if you do!
Too bad I found these right before Halloween! Love your website. Very informative and easy for people like me! I’m probably a low intermediate knitter. I already made one using cotton yarn. I have a huge box someone gave to me. I also make a lot of dish cloths for a friend. She loves them. I’m going to keep making while I’m watching my DVR and have them ready for next Fall with cute ribbon around them like you did. Love them! Thank you! Would like to try the slouchy sweater too.
I’m so happy you’re enjoying the pattern! These little guys make great stash busters so this is a perfect project to help you clear your stash! Happy knitting to you! And if you end up trying the sweater pattern, let me know! 😀
Something is not right with this pattern. On one page it says size 8 needles and in a other it says size 9. I used size 8 and my candy corn came out too big, not like the size in the picture or coaster size.
Hi Belle! In the old version of the pattern I used size 8 knitting needles, but in the new version of the pattern (the version in this post) I used size 9 knitting needles. The pattern is correct as written. In the pattern where I list the needle size I note – US size 9 knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge). Below that I also list the gauge. Because each knitters knitting tension is unique, it’s important to check your gauge and make sure it matches the gauge listed in the pattern. If not, you’ll need adjust your needle size accordingly so that your finished project comes out to the expected size.
