Corner To Corner (C2C) Crochet Stitch Tutorial
Hello and welcome back to my blog! In today’s tutorial we are going to cover how to crochet the corner to corner (C2C) stitch. Follow along step by step with the photo tutorial and the video tutorial!

This corner to corner crochet tutorial is geared towards advanced beginners and higher and assumes you already know the following skills:
- Chaining
- Double crochet
- Slip stitch

Materials
- Acrylic worsted weight yarn (pictured in Big Twist Value in Aqua)
- 5.0 mm hook (I use this set, but the hook is a Furls Odyssey)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Abbreviations
- ch chain
- ch sp chain space
- dc double crochet
- sl st slip stitch
- sp space
- st stitch
Corner to Corner (C2C) Crochet Tutorial:
Increasing:
Row 1
Step 1: ch 6
Step 2: Starting in 4th ch from hook, dc in each chain across
Step 3: Turn your work
Row 2
Step 1: ch 6
Step 2: starting in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across
Step 3: sl st into ch sp of 1st row block
Step 4: ch 3
Step 5: make 3 dc in same ch sp, turn your work
Row 3
Step 1: ch 6
Step 2: starting in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across
Step 3: sl st into ch sp of next block
Step 4: ch 3
Step 5: make 3 dc in same ch sp
Step 6: sl st into ch sp of next block, ch 3, make 3 dc in same ch sp, turn your work.
Row 4
Step 1: ch 6, starting in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across
Step 2: sl st into ch sp of next block, ch 3, and make 3 dc in same ch sp. Repeat step 2 until you’ve completed the last block of the row. Turn your work.
Row 5 and beyond
Repeat Row 4
Decreasing
Row 1
Step 1: ch 1
Step 2: Sl st across each dc and into the next ch sp
Step 3: Ch 3, make 3 dc in same ch sp
Step 4: sl st into next ch sp and make 3 dc in same ch sp
Step 5: Repeat step 4 until you’ve worked through the 2nd to last block from previous row.
Step 6: Sl stitch into ch sp of last block from previous row, turn your work.
Row 2
Step 1: Ch 1
Step 2: Sl st across each dc and into the next ch sp
Step 3: make 3 dc in same ch sp. sl st into next ch sp and make 3 dc in same ch sp
Repeat Step 3 until you’ve worked through the 2nd to last block from previous row.
Then, sl st into ch sp of last block from previous row, turn your work.
Row 3 and beyond
Repeat Row 2 until you’ve worked your last block. Turn your work, ch 1, and sl st across each dc and into next ch sp.
Fasten off.
