Notes
Construction: The Crochet Candy Cane Pillow will be worked in the round by alternating between a main color and contrasting color. When switching between colors you will be carrying the strands up as you go. The majority of the project is worked in single crochet stitches. The curve of the candy cane is worked by using double crochet and slip stitches.
Color Changes for single crochet stitches: When the next round will begin with a new color, on the last stitch of the round you are currently on, begin your last single crochet by inserting your hook into the stitch, and drawing up a loop. Yarn over and complete the stitch with the new color.
Color Changes for slip stitches: When the next round will begin with a new color, on the last stitch of the round you are currently on, begin your last slip stitch by inserting your hook into the stitch. Draw up a loop with the new color, and complete the slip stitch.

Love this pattern?
The Candy Cane Pillow turned out just gorgeous! Finding the red close to the holiday was difficult, but it is a good size and crochets up quickly. I have gotten so many comments on it. Thanks so much, Brittany!
Wonderful! This makes me so happy! And I’m so glad you were able to find the red yarn!
I just finished making this and loved it so much!! I used Big Twist blanket yarn in “chili pepper” and a random bright white. It turned out so cute and fun and I’m going to make another one for my mom. Thanks for making the pattern free on your site! 🙂
Hi Nae! Oooh! I haven’t tried Big Twist’s blanket yarn yet – I need to check it out the next time I’m at JOANNs, I love the Big Twist line! Thank you so much for taking the time to share with me and I’m so glad you enjoyed the pattern.🤗
I really loved this pattern, and it was super easy to follow. I used Premier Yarns’ Parfait XL and it worked super well with this pattern. I don’t have very many handmade Christmas decorations so I HAD to add this one to the roster. So cute! Thank you so much!!
